Dept. of Corrections King Cobra: “Alive and Well,” Still For Sale
posted by on August 6 at 16:45 PM
Some clarification to an item in my column this week: The craigslist ad cited in the column does not belong to King Cobra, according to owner Jamie Garza, who responded to inquiries after press time. Since announcing the club was for sale, he says King Cobra has received “tons of response from interested investors. We’re still in negotiations with some.” He says potential investors could buy “1/3, 1/2, or all” of the club, adding that “King Cobra is alive and well.”

proof again that you have NO IDEA what you write about. Give it up, douchbag.
Grandy, you are the definition of a HACK.
Wow, scathing commentary from anonymous internerds on the web!
Eric, writing corrections is never fun. Make a call next time.
Oh, hi there, "bobcat." You misspelled douche.
Yeah, Jeff. It was just kind of a last minute thing this week. Mea culpa.
Are they still booking shows? There's precious little activity on their calendar and no one seems to check their email anymore. *shrug*
King Cobra:
Alive? Debatable.
Well? Not so much.
Douchebags?
Well, the King Cobra SNAFU looks to outshine the Atlas Debacle by a nose. (Yes, pun intended.) So: gRaNdY FTW, surprised as I am to have found myself typing such a thing.
Bobcat: Matthew 5:30.....
"And if thy computer causeth thee to be a douchebag, cut it off, and cast it from thee: for it is profitable for thee that thy computer should should perish, and not that thy whole body should be a douchebag."
Let's be done with this nonsense, lest we be beset by much more douchebaggery.
Speculation here has odds on Baltic Room slightly favored over Barca for the win.
No way Baltic Room has a (legal) capacity of 600.
Why don't you print a retraction in next week's column, not just a blog on line out on how you don't bother to check facts before going to print and think that your jaded assumptions are correct. King Cobra is an awesome club trying very hard to make it, and your judgemental negative press is just adding to frustration. I've seen you (grandy) in there before having a grand old time, so why do you do something positive to keep this club around not be a dick and write something you can't back up?!? Ever heard of responsible journalism?
What the hell is wrong with you people? So quick to criticize. All I see Eric doing here is clarifying about some speculation in his column. Geesh. Lighten up.
The Baltic Room has a 250 capacity according to this: http://www.eventective.com/USA/Washington/Seattle/35801/The-Baltic-Room.html
What about Chop Suey? It recently was bought by some Japanese company. Although I think I remember from throwing a few events there that it only fit 400 people. Neighbors? The War Room?
I agree with #10
Think about the consequences next time, Grandy. Suggesting to the public that the price of KC is lowered by 125,000 could get you into serious trouble.....
You know that more people read your printed copy than Line-Out. So this correction is worthless.
Besides, you know that craigslist ad isn't KC. Get the facts!
