I can sure understand not caring for U2's musical output, but I'm trying to see this "petition" to get Bono to stop trying to raise money for causes he believes in as anything but the most egregious form of hipster douchebaggery. As in "Sure he's trying to raise money to treat preventable diseases in the poorest countries, but he annoys me with that goody-two-shoes crap me so he should stop."

@2 agreed on the philanthropy. i actually tend to side with entertainers that use their time in the limelight to draw attention to noteworthy causes. certainly more noble than being a vacuous black hole like paris hilton
but from a musical perspective, i'm kinda inclined to agree with the petitioners. it's time for bono and the edge to move on. no more itunes commercials, boys.
