NY Excuse

posted by on September 10 at 9:05 AM

Hey, how ‘bout that Crocodile?! Sorry I missed all the action yesterday, I spent all day at the airport then on a plane to NY, where I’m on vacation this week (don’t worry, “bobcat,” I’ll be sure to “slander” the under construction club as soon as I get home.)

In the meantime, a little NYC scene report:

-OMG! Allison Wolfe from Bratmobile was on the Airtrain at JFK!

-Daedelus played a show last night, but my plane was hours delayed due to weather, so I missed it. Bummer, because dude is a blast live, as entertaining for gear geeks as he is for regular revelers; I highly recommend you don’t miss him this Saturday at the Stranger Genius Awards Party at the Moore Theater, along with James Pants (with live band), Dyme Def, and Emerald City Soul Club.

-Tonight: James Murphy & Pat Mahoney, of LCD Soundsystem and this sublime Fabric mix spin their Special Disco Version night at Santos. We’ll see how it stands up to Seattle’s own Wednesday disco weekly, Studio at Havana. In any case, hopefully it will be enough to make me forget what a great show I’m missing at in Seattle tonight at Nectar with the Juan MacLean.
