Seattle has no fashion. San Francisco has bad fashion. I vote SFO.

That's like asking if the rich kid camp or the poor kid camp has better uniforms. Obviously SF wins; they have more cash.

Holy shit - how is it each of them is just a little bit better looking than our local equivalents? I think it's one of those things where your game is pulled up or down depending who you're playing with.

Seattle fashion has an innocent charm. San Francisco has a trashy chic.

Funny this would come up, as my parents (well traveled folks in their 70's) were in town this weekend from Seattle and (scientifically) concluded the biggest different between the two cities in that people dress better in San Francisco.

In this regard, we're not New York, or even LA—and it's nothing to get defensive about—but people move here for different reasons that they do those places.

@5 Median household incomes:
San Francisco $70,770
Seattle $60,665

Seattle wins. These people are trying too hard to impress. Our hipsters are way more effortless.

@10 - Agreed, Seattle people generally seem to care less than in SF. I mean, I ain't gonna try to look all cool when it's pouring rain and I gotta keep myself dry. Just sayin.

moved from seattle to SF 6 yrs ago and i love seattle but im not going back. if you want moderately better weather, much more tolerance (from peers & authorities), ridiculously amazing events, bitchin wine country, & all the same access to natural wonders (if not more) than come on down! we are a free and open people down here, generally dont travel in cliques but vast interconnected tribes, and love making friends!

@6: My thoughts as well.

I love Seattle, but every time I visit SF I realize that's probably where I belong.

SF looks like a bunch of pretentious twits who wouldn't last a day in Paris.

Seattle doesn't have a fashion sense. It has old people wearing rumpled fleece and overgrown children on capitol hill playing dress up.

Sigh, I knew we would have to pay for the splendor of skinny jeans and those guy tanks that show the sides way down. It was so nice to see guys have silhouettes, packages, form. We even got some scruffy awesomeness. We had to suffer insanely baggy clothing and shit like cords to get here, and now it looks like we are going to have to suffer bad hair, loose shirts and unflattering bulge-less short shorts.

Goodbye sweet hot male youths, I look forward to your inevitable return in 4/6/8/10 years.
