If It’s Too Cloud, You’re Too Boring: The Cumulus Festival

Posted by on Mon, Nov 17, 2008 at 5:23 PM

The Luna Moth: post-rockin' in the free world.

Seattle’s post-rock community—you know who you are, I think—will get its own festival Jan. 23-25, 2009. Organized by the Luna Moth bassist Levi Fuller, Mark Schlipper, and Kenny Day, Cumulus Festival will showcase some of the Northwest’s most adventurous rock groups at Chop Suey (Jan. 23; Earth will be headlining), King Cobra (Jan. 24), and Vera Project (Jan. 25).

The lineup includes the following bands:

Beast, Please Be Still
Bronze Fawn
Deelay Ceelay
The Friendly Skies
Hypatia Lake
Joy Wants Eternity
The Luna Moth
Perish the Island
Snowman Plan
This Is a Process of a Still Life
Waves & Radiation

Check Cumulus’ website for more information, as it trickles in.

Thanks Dave!

To give credit where credit is due, it's actually being organized by the three dudes in that picture there: me, Mark Schlipper & Kenny Day.

I'm in town today, Dave. I'm playing at the Tractor with John Doe tonight. I'm coming after you with a hockey stick, you douchebag.

This is the greatest news ever. Get Mono in VCF on that bill! And I'm begging for that Chop Suey show to be all ages. Though, luck is never on my side.
