Alligator for No Reason!

Posted by on Fri, Dec 5, 2008 at 12:03 PM

Click here. PLEASE. I am literally begging you.

The amount of money that went into this blonde lady's vanity project is INCREDIBLE. Helicopters! Dragons! Swordsmanship classes! Also, this is the best thing I've ever seen. Also, can someone explain the storyline to me? Also, sleighride!!

Every time you watch it you will find a new favorite part.

Thanks to Soren for bringing this into my life.

Love Has Enemies.

Wow. Apparently there is more money (and weirdness) in being the son of Laugh-In's Gary Owens than I'd have predicted. For real, he is: http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0654365/

I don't know what is more jarring, the apparent disdain for narrative structure, or the uncanny resemblance to Ann Coulter.

Any video that uses Zapf Chancery for the titles is a winner in my book. Is that a "pull my finger" moment midway through, or is it just me?

"So bad, it's good" doesn't quite capture the spirit of this thing. I think we need a new term. Badgoodly awfultastic?

Better than Lovers of Armies ... ah for the days when LARP was but a dream and nobody green-screened filksinging ...

I kept trying to place it but realized that if GOB (from Arrested Development) made a video...it would be this....frame for wonderful frame.

Shine this turd.

Hilarious! It's like Ronny James Dio video minus the devil, and with way more cheesy 80's porn-ey-ness.

@11 You nailed it.

Story line?

The Scottish Play?

Those are the tightest-lipped, coldest fish kisses I have ever seen.
Also, they seem to use costumes and props from basically every period in European history from the Dark Ages on through the French Revolution. Stiletto daggers, tri-corner hats, coronets, lacy cuffs, LARPy magical paraphernalia, AND copious amounts of eyeliner? Both historians and fantasists are crying into their respective soup.

@ 8 and 18. Exactly. How wonderful that Ann Coulter likes to dress in drag and make music videos when not spewing vitriol or having her jaw broken. I think this is her true calling and she should follow it to its natural conclusion.

As terrible as this was, it was still better than half of the productions of Macbeth I've seen.

Lindy, I must tell you, though I am a virulently misogynistic 'mo, you are my most-favoritest vagina-bearer today because,

Lo! You have introduced me to "Shine On Me" by Chris Dane Owens.

Which is the perfect music video to every Fantasy novel, if you squint your eyes just a little at certain points.

(and the certain points are different for different novels, so be careful!)

Directed by the special effects artist of "Splash" and "Ace Ventura!" LA is a weird weird town.
