C'Mon! We Can (Still) Be Bought

Posted by Eric Grandy on Fri, Dec 12, 2008 at 3:22 PM

It is criminally insanely retarded (sorry, 'tards) that the Strangercrombie auctions to Buy a Music Profile and Buy an Album Review in an upcoming issue of the Stranger are only going for a measly $97.00 and $107.50 respectively.

Don't you know what these auctions mean?! You could be the next Talbot Tagora or Pica Beats or Dead Science or Bow + Arrow or Partman Parthorse!

...or, you know, if you're smart, you could always elect to have Dave Segal write it.

And, as always, you can donate direct to Treehouse via the button below and receive a Stranger tote bag for any $20 donation or a Ladies/Germs of Slog Calendar for any $50 donation:

You have less than two hours left to bid!

Update (3:40pm): Now at $152.50 and $132.50—that is what I'm trying to show you about!

haha, buy an album review? you guys want people to pay for a narrow minded shit dissection of their hard work? if it isn't some kind of turbo-cool dj with a theremin or another "art punk" band of full of garbage gang vocals and 4 drummers all playing floor toms, then how would there be any value in this? i know the auction is already over but seriously, how can you guys expect this to be of value to some young, excitable, mis-guided nu metal band that scrounges up the money for a pay-to-play review of their record? you devils!
