NadaMucho.com will host a Neil Young tribute at Sunset Tavern Thurs. Jan. 22 (8 pm, $7, 21+; fee includes Sounds from the Seattle Underground CD). Dubbed “The Neil and the Damage Done,” the night will feature nine local artists—including Hazelwood Motel, Herman Jolly, and At the Spine—covering several songs by the rock legend, whose radical, rootsy influence manifests in several Seattle bands.
“The Needle and the Damage Done”
Press release after the cut.
To build on the relationships and sense of community we started with our 2008 compilation CD, Sounds from the Seattle Underground (http://www.cdbaby.com/nadamucho), NadaMucho.com and Global Seepej Records decided to dust off an idea we'd been kicking around for over a year - a tribute to Mr. Neil Young. We invited the bands on the compilation to perform and filled out the night with other acts we're fond of — both the people and the music.
Please contact Matt Ashworth at editor@nadamucho.com or 206.293.3580 with any questions.
