The word from Mad Rad regarding last weekend's incident and the subsequent Neumos ban:

We have no comment on what happened outside of the club due to pending legal issues, and the privacy of the individuals involved.

We look foward to getting past this in a timely sophisticated manner. We also look foward to staying progressive in the music that we make, the art that we create, and the shows that we perform at.

rj - you're implying that straight white middle class males can't make art. you're an idiot. anyone can make art. and what you're saying isn't relevant to anything in the post.

rj-

You seem oblivious to the plight of straight, white, middle class males. Do you realize some people actually expect us to be held accountable for our drunken, obnoxious and violent behavior?

Some people think we should even apologize like we could ever be that sophisticated.

@2, no it implies that coked out hipsters who make bad novelty 'rap' songs about partying aren't really making art, now are they? but way to have a chip on your shoulder, mr.male-straight-middle-class-and-white. fucking pathetic.

@2 - Agreed, and nice Ben Folds reference.
Anyone who refers to themselves as 'sophisticated', isn't. Just like when a sign says 'Gourmet Food', it isn't.

what an interestingly retarded turn this has taken. but seriously, fuck you if you say just because you're white you can never have experienced struggle or the shit end of the stick. fuck you.

@7, i don't think that's what anyone is saying at all. however, after reading mudede's profile and then seeing how they act like a bunch of coked-out drama queens, and then claim to be 'artists' instead of the no-talent, hipster assholes they are, well, beyond contemptable. their brand of hip hop is all irony. they aren't the beastie boys, they're dynamite hack.

Hey mad rad, you're superdope. but you guys know this... seattle is full of a bunch of people that want to think they really have an actual saying in things cause they think seattle is such an important city in the US. pretty soon you guys will be blowing up in places way bigger and better than here. Ive traveled the world a lot and seattlites are fucked up, not all but especially people like this. they have small city syndrome, thinking seattle is huge and all.

there are a billion bands EXACTLY like these guys with Urban Outfitter shades and Garageband and girl jeans.
Do something unique (and for the love of god, someone white please embrace hip hop UNIRONICALLY?), and that might count as sophisticated.
