A Hasty Nabbit

Posted by Dave Segal on Tue, Feb 3, 2009 at 10:40 AM

A new free app called Nabbit allows iPhone owners to identify songs from the radio and later gather information about them and potentially purchase them or tickets to concerts by the artists who performed them. The app also works with ads (yay).

How did you ever live without it?

Shazam has been doing this for a while now Dave. Please stop resisting technology.

But this app seems to work a bit differently than Shazam. The iphone version is very fast and lets you set presets for different cities. Plus if you miss a song or Shazam can't figure it out you're out of luck. This app lets you go back in time and see previously played songs. Pretty cool. Don't get me wrong, I still have Shazam on my phone for impressing people at parties but Nabbit has been getting a workout these last few days. Oh, and my wife doesn't have an iphone so she has been using their web app on her razr. Super fast also.
