Douchetronica's Apex Nadir

Posted by Dave Segal on Mon, Feb 23, 2009 at 4:27 PM

Your challenge: Try to find anything redeeming about LMFAO’s “I’m in Miami Trick” and its accompanying video. I tried and failed. Pallid Ed Banger ripoffs were soooo summer of 2007.

It is possible that I hate fun, but goddamn, you gotta draw the line somewhere. (This track will undoubtedly be ubiquitous at the upcoming Winter Music Conference, where LMFAO are playing March 25; somehow I missed them at Club Venom Feb. 19.)

LMFAO? OMFG, I hope this is a joke. Oh, wait: They've done remixes for Kanye West, Fergie, and Katy Perry. So I guess they're legit.

Something redeeming: Weird Al's half-hispanic son is getting work.

Note to the producer of this song: In the future, consider using effects. Any of the knobs on the keyboard your record label bought for you will do this.

Were they just learning to use a drum machine when they programmed that beat?

LOLZ, ok I finally watched this.

There is so much worse than LMFAO.

Dave, you might want to take some medication before browsing YouTube. Seriously. LMFAO is lite in toxins compared to what's swimming around out there in DouchelTronia.

LMFAO is kinda like a weak Har Mar/Rick James type thing, but it's like 10000 x better than brokeNCYDE or Trouble Andrew or...

..wait for it..

THA PUMPSTA

Dare you to search that out. Yes, this is the guy known for the "Kill Whitie" parties in Williamsburg.

Well, first they failed at the grammar. I believe it should be "I'm in Miami, trick." Note the comma placement.

What happened to the original verion: "I'm in Miami Bitch"?

Has Deuchetronica surrendered to the PC police?

It's a fun song in the same way that "Whomp There it Is" and 'Who Let the Dogs out" are fun songs.

Yes, I am serious.

LMFAO caved in to radio and changed the title for airplay. Of course.

"I'm in Miami Trick" is no "Rumpshaka," that's for damn sure.
