Enter the Tone Matrix

This sinewave synthesizer is "triggered by an ordinary 16step sequencer." Basically, you just click little buttons on a big square (Flash required) and create an ambient loop of music. I lost quite a few hours to this thing last night, spelling out words and making complex patterns to hear what they sound like. It's the coolest thing to happen to ambient noise since The Buddha Machine.

Other experiments on the aM Laboratory are pretty neat, including a virtual drum machine and a guitar modulator. Someone could make an album out of all this stuff.

This is a lot of fun. Productivity levels are dramatically decreasing because of this. I wish there was a way to adjust the tempo so I could sync it to what I'm listening to.
