Hot Summer

Posted by Terry Miller on Mon, Jun 1, 2009 at 11:20 AM

Jesus it's so hard to sleep in my house when it's this hot out. I was awake half the night, tossing, turning and sweating. I mean, this is why I don't live in freaking Chicago.

Maybe the East German's in the grand ol' days of the DDR had it right. Just put on a snappy outfit and dance around the plaza after a hard days work of trying to find food in the stores....

ummmm, ever hear of a great little invention called a fan? Still not enough--raise the goddamn windows with the fan on--it's 55 degrees at night--plenty cool. Luckily all Seattleites aren't such whining vaginas when it gets to be 80 degrees. Try some other part of the country for a while and you'll see 80 is VERY pleasant.

um... ever heard of allergies and asthma? you know, 'cause if you leave a fan running all night in the windows here during spring you get a nose full of pollen which makes me wake up in the morning with a throat that feels like sandpaper. and all that air blown directly on my partners face all night means he wakes up three times to suck on an inhaler, pretty much waking me up each time in the process. and i bet you've never experienced how even when you leave your windows open all day and night your house doesn't cool down to outdoor temps.

probably not though, because you apparently live in a trailer and not a house, most likely somewhere in the deep south where they grow idiots in the hot, hot sun....

assumptions are fun!
