Love When Jazz is Jay Dee

This weekend, I discovered Georgia Anne Muldrow. 
Muldrow is a force. She is the most convincing meeting point of jazz and hiphop. Closer yet, jazz and J-Dilla. Her arrangements are rich and bewitching, moving between minimal and baroque registers. And her voice works with, against, above and below the two-step beat. Muldrow is not gentle and sweet; she is a melodic storm.
