Right Now in the Death of Michael Jackson

Posted by David Schmader on Thu, Jun 25, 2009 at 9:50 PM

Larry King is discussing the loss with....JC Chasez. It's Night One, and it's already come to this?

Hold up: Corey Feldman has shown up, Larry King tries to get him to talk about his adolescent drama with MJ, Feldman demurs: "The world lost a great artist today, let's not focus on the negatives."

And now we've got Smokey Robinson, so shut my mouth...

Quite possibly the biggest media circus of pop culture history. It is incredible to watch. The poor soul, what a ride.

A pal told me that Cher was on with Larry King earlier, discussing... Farrah. WTF?

Cher represented for both Michael and Farrah. There was some amazing footage of Cher dancing with Michael and his brothers on the Cher show.

Cher's one thing. JC Chasez is a whole 'nother soup can of bullshit, since there's no Michael influence in *anything* he's done in his piddly little career. Hell, Timberlake would be a better choice. At

People who think Michael had no influence on JC OR Nsync clearly NEVER listened to their music or JC's solo album. Michael's influence is all over the early Nsync albums and most definitely over "No Strings Attached" and "Celebrity", culminating in a Michael Jackson-esque debut album from Justin. JC released a solo album that just screams Michael, Prince, Stevie Wonder, The Police-- I mean-- do you even know wtf you're talking about??? JC WAS ASKED TO SPEAK because Michael Jackson was an influence and an inspiration. As part of Nsync he shared three stages with Michael. It'd be helpful if folks would refrain from talking about things when they don't know wtf they're talking about.

7: It's not that people don't understand that MJ influenced N'Sync. It's that MJ influenced a bazillion artists with far more to offer than JC Chasez. Literally a bazillion.

Michael Jackson was a great artist who inspired many many many other artists. JC Chasez is one of the least of them.

Oh stop. N Sync was a huge cultural phenomenon for awhile with direct lineage tracing back to MJ. CNN was interviewing everyone, including a painfully long phone convo with Celine Dion. Don't begrudge them a little JC Chasez!

Corey Feldman had no business speaking about Michael Jackson's death. The two were no longer friends and Feldman turned his back on Jackson. Who cares what the washed up has been thinks? Feldman may have spoken kind words, however, he will never be able to ask for Michael's forgiveness.
