Hollow Earth House Show

The first time I heard the words "Mecca" and "Normal" in the same sentence was on a mixtape I received, circa age 16, from a girl in Pennsylvania who subsequently (I think) ended up on the wrong side of the law. The last time I heard those two words in tandem was on this flyer that my buddy Clyde from Your Heart Breaks emailed me.

House shows in Seattle are almost always a cozy, low key good time. Hollow Earth Radio is a quality organization to support. And if potlucks and friendly, DIY-minded company are your thing, please allow me to introduce you to your plans for the evening.

Gina, you should probably do a search for the bullshit storm that Segal and Grandy made 2 weeks ago and not promote DIY / house shows on this website.

Yeah, especially when said DIY house posts flyers with their address on them.

The cops are welcome to come as long as they bring a covered dish for the potluck.

I'm sure they really wanted King Hipster and the major retards at a magazine reposting their house address.

Sorry Jeff. You lose.

So you are the official spokesperson for the Hollow Earth Radio house?

Nice gig. How'd you get it. Must pay really well.

The Stranger is not a magazine.

You're trolling is amusing, keep it up. I think it's funny.

The house where Hollow Earth Radio is located is hardly a DIY-show space. This gathering was truly a regular BBQ potluck where two low key bands happened to be playing in the living room. There wasn't any illegal alcohol sales or consumption, and combined with the relative low volume of the two acts and no entry price, if the police had shown up they would have had no premise to go from. But they would have been welcome to grab a plate like @2 said.
The house's address was added to the poster to invite the public to this community-oriented event. Because of the aforementioned lack of illegal activity, there was no fear in posting the address publicly.
Thanks all for the concerns on Line Out comments, though! And to Gina Y for the kind words.
