Did You Notice?

Posted by Eric Grandy on Mon, Jun 29, 2009 at 1:47 PM

How every store you walked into all weekend, every car that drove by with the stereo loud, was playing Michael Jackson? Of course you did. So, is it over now? One solid weekend of mourning/tribute enough? We good?

Oddfellows, for what it's worth, was just playing Sufjan Stevens, who is alive and well, although those other 48 states have got to be breathing down his neck something fierce.

In a just world we'd all be sick of hearing "Can't Seem to Make You Mine" by the Seeds.

'Don't Stop Til You Get Enough' blasting out of a Jeep Cherokee on Sunday Night: you are the hippest people that will ever live. To everyone who just reupped their iTunes with Michael Jackson tunes because they were a big enough fan to never own any of his music, good looking out on never celebrating the dude's career when he was alive.
