Chris Brown Apologizes for Beating the Shit out of Rihanna

Posted by on Mon, Jul 20, 2009 at 2:44 PM

TMZ has the video, and if you spent a not-insignificant amount of time poring over the details of the assault—as I did—it is your duty to watch it.

(If you spent no time thinking about Chris Brown's assault of Rihanna and just want to know what he says in the apology video, here it is in a nutshell: Lawyers said I couldn't speak out for a long time, but now I can, and oh my God I'm so sorry. What I did was monstrous, my mother didn't raise me that way, I've been speaking to my pastor and others to make sure it never happens again. It was despicable, there's no excuse. Please forgive me.)

They should make a Mad Libs book of celebrity apologies. This could just as easily be an apology for a Republican Senator's Big Gay Sex Scandal.

BTW, the comment area over here on Line Out is Deadsville. Ever considered giving this idea up and taking the music back over to Slog? Not necessarily advocating, just curious.

My co-worker had the shit beat out of her by her husband but unfortunately she died. And to make it worse he left her lying for a week in their apartment decomposing. I don't accept his apology. There is on excuse. No person should have to experience any type of abuse, male or female.
