Oh, Another Thing...

How much better is the layout this year, with the Main Stage not blocking the main intersection of the whole fest? You can actually move around from one place to another! It's AWESOME!

The new layout works up to a point. I do not like the extended beer garden. It took way too much space from other non beer drinkers trying to enjoy the main stage.

I beg to differ about the new layout. Only a tiny fraction of the festival goers have a chance to even see the band. And the pushing and shoving near the front. I ended having to retreat and I saw several women looking panicked at the Sonic Youth show. It was awful. Worst ... Layout ... Ever.

i'm not sure if the layout was entirely to blame, but i'd like to echo bugkiller's post: way too much pushing during the sonic youth show. even half way between the stage and the end of the block was rough on some of the people.

the layout was a step in the right direction, though the beer garden caused a bit of a bottleneck and the stage could've been a bit taller. but, yes, a major improvement over last year's three-stage cluster of doom.
