July just rushed right past us, and now it is not but hot ashes in the mouths of our memories. And do you know what that means? Right. Somehow it's time for Bacon Strip again! (Doesn't it totally feel like the last Bacon Strip just happened? I know.)
The be-wigged beauty that is Sylvia O' Stayformore is your hostess, as always, and the theme this time is SciFi: "A World Without Bacon Strip." (Perish the notion.) It happens at Re-Bar (1114 Howell), 10:30, $5 at the door, and theme-centric costumes (the skimpier the better) are deeply encouraged. As is general nakedness. And dancing. And L'Amour.
Also! Superstar DJ Freakazoid and special guest DJ Sharlese of KEXP fame are spinning at the Capitol Club (414 East Pine), 10 PM-2 PM, with absolutely no cover whatsoever. The event is called "Freakout", and it happens just about every Saturday. In the words of DJ Freakazoid, "Freakout's" resident DJ, tonight's event will be "Pure awesomeness."
Pure awesomeness, indeed, sir. Pure awesomeness, indeed.
