Scanning the Showbox's press releases usually yields nothing more than a raised eyebrow at the upcoming concerts. But yesterday's email blast contained this astonishing juxtaposition:

I had no idea either artist was touring, and in the case of Teenage Jesus and the Jerks, that they were even together again. I will admit that I'm more excited about Teenage Jesus (Daltrey without Townshend? Um, I don't think so.). I—and maybe you—could use some good old no-wave causticity right about now. But I wonder if Lydia Lunch & co. can come close to filling the Showbox Market; do many people even know or remember them, outside of a small cult of freaks? We shall see.
