Setting up for the $10k 500 Block Party

Posted by on Wed, Aug 19, 2009 at 5:31 PM

Tomorrow night is the 500 Block Party, a party to commemorate the 500 block of Pine st. that was demolished last year to make way for condos but ultimately became an un-used vacant lot. The nightlife spots along that block—Kincora, Bimbo's, Cha Cha, Manray, and Harry's Market—are being replicated for one night of partying in the Havana parking lot. Here's how it's going so far.

that's the havana parking lot. this would be a lot more metal (if slightly less slanted) if held in the parking lot.

...also, I saw folks congregated on the parking lot last Friday (8/14) - what was that about?
