Psyched! Escalator Fest Solidifies Lineup, Ticket Info

The Portable Shrines folks have solidified the lineup and ticket details for Escalator Fest, the first of what we hope will become an annual Northwest version of Terrastock, a harmonious gathering of the area's most adventuresome heads celebrating music that soars above the mundane. Portable Shrines' braintrust is calling Escalator "Two Days of Mind-Manifesting Music." I can get behind that. Press release and Wooden Shjips vid below.

Escalator Fest: Two Days of Mind-Manifesting Music

The Portable Shrines Collective (http://www.portableshrines.com/) is proud to be curating Escalator Fest-a two day event of music and art celebrating the new psychedelic noise- experimental, rock and new folk sounds abound. Most of the bands performing hail from the West Coast-Seattle, Portland, San Francisco, and a couple bands all the way from Boston. Lights, projections and works by local artists will transform the space for a unique and phantasmagorical evening.

A limited offer of 50 advance passes for both nights are available on the ESCALATOR festival website through paypal http://www.escalatorfest.com/. The advance Passes are available only until September 15th, cost $20 plus a $2 handling fee and grant the pass holder admission to both festival nights. The passes are will call only and available at the door. NOTE: The Lo-Fi Gallery is 21+ and you cannot attend unless you are 21 or over. Friday night tickets for the Lo-Fi Gallery will also be available at the door for $12. Saturday night tickets for the Vera Project can be purchased in advance Tickets at their ( there is a $2.75 surcharge) http://www.theveraproject.org/ and tickets available at the door for $15.
