Jay Reatard @ Easy Street Records

All I wanted was a Pepsi [beer], just one Pepsi [beer], and she wouldn't give it to me. Just one Pepsi [beer]... —"Institutionalized" by Suicidal Tendencies

Man, I really could use a beer...

Until someone brings me one, I'm just gonna hide under here.

You know what? I'm done playing. I'm gonna climb the rafters and give you all the finger! HA-HA! Then I'm gonna jump down and almost hurt myself.

Whatever, take my infamous Flying V, and have your way with it, I'm done...

...yeah, just leave it there, unattended, on top of those Lou Reed, Reatard solo, and Red Hot Chili Peppers records. I'm going to buy some beer.

All he wanted was just one beer, but that's the flaw of playing a record store-only tour. Jay plays again tonight at Sonic Boom in Ballard. 7 pm, all ages, free. No BYOB.

Loved him the last time he was here at the Croc, but kinda hated this in-store. Bummer. Hope October is better!

Saw him @ SBoom in Ballard -- missed the Easy Street thing. Was no climbing or bird-flipping in Ballard. Good show, minimal bitching about bottled water. Croc a few months back was better, but that figures.
