Seattle project Paintings for Animals (Pearson Wallace-Hoyt, along with fellow astral travelers) creates seriously transcendent drones with the sort of disturbing undercurrent that gets my existential juices flowing. Check out the dude's long and impeccable list of influences, which he's assimilated into his own distinctive strain of sonic sorcery.
Paintings for Animals performs with Sokai Stilhed, New Red Sun, Groves, and Thunder Grey Pilgrim at the Josephine Thurs. Oct. 1.
