SNMA Announces Seattle City Council Endorsements and Fundraiser

Seattle, WA, October 16, 2009 — The Seattle Nightlife and Music Association (SNMA) has formally announced its official City Council candidate endorsements. A Happy Hour Fundraiser for the slate will be held Wednesday, October 21, 2009, at Moe Bar from 5 to 8 PM.

SNMA endorses Sally Bagshaw for position #4, Richard Conlin for position #2, Nick Licata for position #6, and Mike O’Brien for position #8.

“We believe Sally, Richard, Nick and Mike all have a good vision for Seattle Nightlife, and a strong understanding of the collaborative effort it takes to maintain Seattle as a 24-hour City for the 21st Century,” says Marcus Charles, SNMA Member, Co-Owner of the Crocodile and the Capitol Hill Block Party and Owner of the Juju.

The SNMA is a coalition of music, nightclub, and bar interests formed to educate elected officials, civic and community leaders, and the media on the serious issues facing the music and nightlife industry in Seattle.

The joint fundraiser will be held at Moe Bar on Wednesday, October 21, from 5:00 — 8:00 pm. Normal Happy Hour specials will apply, and the SNMA encourages anyone who is in support of a healthy Nightlife scene to attend and contribute.

Moe Bar is located at 1425 10th Ave., near the corner of 10th and East Pike on Capitol Hill.

It was fun voting for Nick Licata, Mike O'Brien and Mike McGinn.

Moe Bar is a great place.

As is the Croc, where Dow Constantine, Mike McGinn and Pete Holmes had a fantastic fundraiser!
