Roubini and Biggie Smalls

Posted by on Wed, Nov 18, 2009 at 11:40 AM

In the comments for Gawker's post about a party attended by the party animal and Iranian-born economist Nouriel Roubini, someone posted this:

I was at this party. It was ok. I asked Nouriel which of the Ten Crack Commandments was his favorite - without missing a beat, he said, "Never sell no crack where you rest at."
If this is indeed true, if Roubini can quote Biggie Smalls just like that, then I'll have to rate him as the greatest economist of our day.
A exceptional economist must be an information animal, an informavore. Nothing of any note can be disagreeable to or rejected by his/her digestive system.

I second that.

But while we're on the topic: it is not one of the ten crack commandments per se, but I always thought "stay low and keep firing" was pretty solid advice.
