Dark Time Shineshine Rises

It took a month, but Dark Time Sunshine's album Believeyoume has finally captured my imagination.

Onry Ozzborn is one of the minds behind this bold project, which has a more coherent, melodic, and lush sound than Ozzborn's even bolder 2008 project, The Gigantics. There is also a touch of triphop lyricism in this mix or big beats, dark raps, and cosmic dust. Ozzborn is inexhaustible.

By the way, I rate Oldominion's One as the greatest hiphop album to come out of the Pacific Northwest. Two is, of course, SLP's Soul Liquor, and three is Framework's Hello World.

Thanks for making this post, Charles. I wanted to blog about it since I took a listen. One of my favorite albums of '09.
