Album Choncey Langford's The Electric Word

Former Seattle musician Choncey Langford (aka Thee Outfit, ex-Lamplighter member) has a fantastic new five-track EP titled The Electric Word (Cosmeseutical), available for free download here. It's a heady collection of nocturnal, eerie, gently disorienting quasi-dance music that is much better than my description makes it sound, damn it.
Now based in LA, Langford works at a coffee shop, Espresso Profeta, that's co-owned by his wife Samantha in Westwood. It is our hope that he can reduce his work hours there and concentrate more on creating difficult-to-classify music of this lofty caliber.
(It would also be a benefit if the Decibel Festival brain trust decided to book Langford for its 2010 edition. Just sayin'...)
