A recommendation for this evening from valuable Seattleite Sarah Galvin: (Photos by Kelly O.)
Have you ever tasted a corn dog so good it was like a kaleidoscope of corn dogs, some of which were enormous and made out of cardboard? And then Jackie Hell sang a snack-themed jingle, and made Hamburger Helper with Phoebe Fondue, and then they ate pudding out of a diaper together? And then images of slaughterhouses were projected onto Jackie’s face? And a blindfolded man ate massive quantities of french fries, and by the time the snack-themed carnival games commenced, the entire room smelled like cat food? And drinks were only two dollars? The answer is no, because that corn dog doesn’t exist. But what does exist is Jackie Hell’s new snack-and-carnival-themed club night, Snackhole, where all of these events and smells really occurred and filled the air last month! And it’s happening again, tonight at the Wildrose, so you, too, can taste the kaleidoscopic carnival of snacks.
(This month’s Snackhole features live music by Telepathic Liberation Army, performances by Jackie Hell, Phoebe Fondue, Anita $nak, Caressa Dick, Ronald McFondle, Michelle Francis, Moon Dancer, Bella Misbehaven, and Djs Amatuer Tooth, Jodi Bon Jodi, and Nark. $2 well drinks, corn dogs, and tater tots. Things start at 9 pm, and entry is $5.)
