18 Minute Wild Orchid Child

Posted by on Mon, Mar 29, 2010 at 2:41 PM

Here is “Black Shiny FBI Shoes,” the eighteen minute mini-series, saga, aerial canopy jam off the pending Wild Orchid Children album, The Wild Orchid Children Are Alexander Supertramp. Release will be late summer / early fall. The album is absolutely amazing. Opus-style beyondness. The band went into Tank Studio and nexted their levels.

Wild Orchid Children: "Black Shiny FBI Shoes"

At the 17:46 mark of the song, singer Kirk Huffman repeatedly screams, “Where are you? Where the fuck are you?” Once he screams the name Kino Gomez.

Kino Gomez is the man who shot and killed Tom Pfaeffle, the beloved Wild Orchid / Kay Kay / Art Institute producer, engineer, friend, father, teacher, husband, human.

Kino Gomez is at large. After posting bail, he sent his brother a suicide note, saying he was going on a "one way trip" into the mountains with his guns. But no body has been found. The man is missing. The man has a shitload of guns, is a killer, and is out there somewhere. Dead or alive, out there.

I will report more on this.

Wild Orchid Children play April 11th @ El Corazon.
