I know. You expect me to fucking love, love, LOVE that old killer-robot movie Blade Runner, just like. every. fucking. body. else.

Don't you? DON'T YOU?!

Well. I got some news for you, sister; Blade Runner makes me feel depressed and dirty and totally claustrophobic, what with all of those quadrillions of crazy future-people all smushed and crowded up on top of each other as they try to eat their artificially engineered Chinese noodles in the greasy future rain and not be bothered by the evil origami cop while also being subliminally influenced to drink future soda by giant floating Coca-Cola-in-the-sky ads while Rutger Hauer and Mermaid and a hooker in a shower curtain simultaneously plot to crush some rich old fag with big glasses's head in with their super robot-strength. (And who can blame them? Really?) Depressed! Dirty! Claustrophobic, I say! (Brazil makes me feel the exact same way...although Katherine Helmond is, of course, a goddess.)

But I digress. Heavily, even. And my ranting doesn't belie the true and actual fact that Blade Runner is a fantastic theme for a heavily-DJed party at The Eagle. Because it sort of really is. (Shower curtain dresses! SHOWER CURTAIN DRESSES!)

Tonight's event features DJs Jodi Bon Jodi, Nark and Dee Jay Jack, and celebrates the birthdays of Kevin Kauer (Nark), photographer Angel Ceballos and Samantha Klapp.

Dress the theme, if you can. Party starts at 9pm. Drink specials til you drop. No cover. 314 East Pine. TONIGHT!
