Dutch transplant Hammahouse (aka Wilf Libgott) currently holds the number 2 spot in the worldwide contest to remix Snoop Dogg’s “That Tree.” Hamma’s aided by local vocalist Maree Huana (geddit?) of the soul group Georgetown All Stars, who chips in gorgeously on the chorus.
The voting for the competition has ended, and now it’s up to Snoop to handpick his three favorite mixes from the more than 1,500 submissions, so Wilf has a good chance of winning.
Hammahouse recently began collaborating with past Data Breaker subject Computer Controlled to work on underground techno productions. Their track “Chromium 15” has earned support from Roman Zawodny and R&S Records founder Renaat Vandepapeliere. The duo plan to play out in the near future with a load of classic gear (e.g., TB-303s, TR-606s, 707s, and Micromoogs, etc.).
