Upcoming Screeching Weasel Are Coming to Seattle!

After seeing a (one-time only) Screeching Weasel cover band in January, I decided my New Year's resolution was to see Screeching Weasel in 2010. I've never seen them before, I love them. And I absolutely thought I'd have to fly to Chicago or Austin or wherever to finally see them live and I was prepared for that.

But now, a hot tip from Duffy came to my inbox this morning, making this the best Friday of all Fridays: SCREECHING WEASEL ARE COMING TO SEATTLE.

They're playing the Showbox September 17th with the Cute Lepers.

What a perfect choice for an opening band.

Tickets will go on sale Friday, June 18th, via Ticketmaster.

i wonder if they will sing the "hey alithea" version of "hey suburbia" (tm megan seling)? I THINK THEY SHOULD.

Their cover of Teenage Head's "Ain't got no sense" was probably my favorite song my senior year of HS. Unfortunately we will be on tour when they come through. Shit.

@3 if only!!!! Hearing the Weasel and Strong Reaction from start to finish would cause my head to explode.

I am hearing rumors that The Riverdales are playing as well!!!
