Upcoming Pioneer Snare: Occidental Park's Summer Music Series

DJ James Grindle has organized a weekly series of DJ and live sets called Music In Seattle Square; it starts July 17 and will run every Saturday through Sept. 25 in Pioneer Square's Occidental Park. (Full disclosure: I'm slated to DJ on a date in August.)

The goal of the series, Grindle says, "is to create an environment like First Thursday Art Walk, Decibel Festival, SAM Remix, Mobile Chowdown, and Mobile Craft Uprising within a neighborhood market; something to both entertain the locals and bring in more visitors. We want to bring a diverse group of people together in a family-friendly environment and celebrate the best things Seattle has to offer to tourists and locals alike."
