Why does Rusted Root have an umlaut over the 'e'? How's that supposed to be pronounced?

Funny! Punk in Drublic and Heavy Petting Zoo were the only two albums I have ever purchased at Sam Goody. And they were something outrageous like $19.99 a cd. BUNK!
