!!! Just Murdered it at Caffe Vita's Bean Room

Best show this weekend so far. If you're at Block Party today do not miss !!!'s set on the mainstage tonight (was supposed to be 7:30, seems like everything's being pushed back due to Blonde Redhead's cancellation).

Highlights of this three song live-on-kexp set included: Nic Offer shamelessly changing the chorus of single "am/fm" to various permutations of "kexp 90.3" after having told the crowd to "call in and request this song all the time" (they better get a lot play off that one); Offer scaling the stacked sacks of coffee beans behind the band (he and Buffalo Madonna ought to have a climb-off/aggro frontman-off this weekend), then dancing atop them, striking disco poses, and leaning back against the wall and running his hands down it all sexy like; Offer screaming right up in the faces of the audience members seated in rows of benches up front, then freaking his way through the sporadically dancing crowd, getting every stiff-limbed Seattlite he passed squirming to the beat, grinding up on everyone from a couple of girls to kexp dj Kevin Cole and local music writer Chris Estey (into it!); Saannon Fuchness, when Offer leaned into her mic to sing a chorus of "Must Be the Moon," ad libbing between lines, "your breath smells like coffee...must be the Seattle coffee." Shameless.

Seriously, do not fucking miss their set tonight. This could be the highlight of the whole weekend.

I was indeed totally into it. My heart's still racing. I want sweet Nic to teach me intensive yoga now (privately).
