Fuck Buttons' Tarot Sport Almost a Year Later

Posted by on Tue, Aug 17, 2010 at 4:57 PM

I've never considered myself much of an electronic music fan, and I don't even really know what genre this record would be considered (or care), but those surging keys still sound great to me almost a year later. Tarot Sport is a staple when I'm doing some of the more repetitive duties this job requires, like building the week's online edition of the paper.

I love that album and I still play it regularly as well. They were amazing live a Chop Suey a while back. The music really eveloped the audience in a way I have rarely experienced. Only bummer is that there were not that many people there.

Rhapsody lists their genre as experimental.

"Party music for the end of the world" was the most apt description I've read/heard for Tarot Sport's sound. My favorite album of 2009.
