Floorfiller? Floor...KILLER?

Posted by on Thu, Aug 19, 2010 at 12:47 PM

I'll sometimes play a song out TWICE if it fails one night and I THINK it MIGHT work next time, but it's a game of hits vs the SHITS and some songs just don't work.

I like this song, however, I feel it's a bit too syncopated and I think it would kill a packed floor (perhaps not at Dug, natch). In fact, it wouldn't even make it in my play box. The ONE TIME I played THIS the floor emptied. I was so SURE it would float...uh, NOPE. Oh well.

So...what stinkers did YOU play that killed a packed floor? C'mon, you can tell...don't be embarrassed, we know they didn't "all go for a smoke" at the same time...it's happened to us all (just don't let it happen again).

Fuck a floor if they can't handle Junie... or Ohio Players, for that matter.

There is also an Intruders track, early one on red gamble I've played and it's got a tempo/time change bridge and peeps asked me if my record was SKIPPING!? They didn't stop dancing tho'.

OH, FYI I know of one FUNK DJ that hates that Junnie track based on the STRINGS!
