Frank Wilson's "Do I Love You (Indeed I Do)"
"Do I Love You (Indeed I Do)"...the Frank Wilson version, is one of the most rare records, ever, it's legend is well known. Wilson was a staff producer at Motown, his version of "Do I Love You" was recorded AND pressed in a small quantity, but as it wasn't to be issued all the copies were destroyed, save a couple reference copies. One of those reference copies ended up with (the occasionally shady) record dealer Simon Soussan sometime around 1977, and (long record nerd story short) via the DJ Russ Winstanley, it soon became a Northern club hit. Being that it is impossible to find a copy AND a really popular track it's $$$ value has spiked over the years...one of the two known copies sold for about $37K last year.
(Connie) Chris Clark's "Do I Love You (Indeed I Do)" (same backing track as Wilson's)
Chris Clark's version was unissued at the time, 1965. I like the Chris Clark version best.
You can find BOTH versions on one UK 45.
