The post-Diana Ross Supremes tackle Joni Mitchell's "All I Want" on television.

Wow.

I can't listen to that song right now. I'm in break-up mode right now and it will make me cry. And I'm at work. I'll check it out later.

YES. I LOVE post DR Supremes, not for the lack of DR (tho kinda...I always hated her grimacing smile), but, since there has been such little emphasis on this era of the Supremes, most ALL the catalog, Right On and beyond (the Modern and Disco biz, natch!), is fresh and engaging. They had like seven (I think) more years as a vocal group w/o DR.

How odd. This was released on the 1972 album _The Supremes Produced And Arranged By Jimmy Webb_, with Jean Terrell singing lead. I have no idea why this version of the group (Mary Wilson, Cindy Birdsong, and Scherrie Payne) would sing this on TV three years later. I'm especially shocked that Cindy got to sing lead for a verse; she never got to on an album, as far as I can tell.

They were such awful awful lip-syncers, especially Mary.
