The
local flyguy drops another slick single, this time featuring LA's new-school G, Crenshaw-reppin'
Nipsey Hussle. There is a new wave of high-production value rap aimed squarely at mainstream appeal and KUBE spins, of a far better vintage than past attempts in the local sphere. This doesn't sound like local rap that could probably get play on KUBE, it just sounds like something KUBE would play, with it's twinkly-dreamy beat and
Drakey hook. Or maybe not, because I honestly have no idea if they even play rap during the week. But I definitely can imagine them spinning this and the
Lace Cadence stuff that dropped recently, or
Dyme Def's
Sextape or a few other things. It may not always be my type of shit, but it brings a smile to my face nonetheless.
