Das Racist - "Who's That? Brooown!" (prod. Sabzi)

Brooklyn's hip-skewering duo Das Racist, with Blue Scholars producer Sabzi (himself now an NYC resident) made this jam awhile ago. It might be the only real testament to the relevance and quotability of Leaders Of The New School's Charlie Brown, whose raps on "Scenario" will always be overshadowed by Busta Rhymes' scene-stealing clean-up man verse. The song's beat, however, is the greatest testament to the sense of fun Sabzi's production has found/reclaimed in the years since the oceanic melancholy of Bayani, and the new Blue Scholars songs debuted at Block Party are brimming with this fun. Behold the sweet-ass video for "Who's That? Brooown!":

Of all the great 8-bit (or less) video games referenced (Zelda, Rampage, Frogger), my favorite is the subway platform battle against "yuppie gentrifiers" bit, which is a rip on the NES' Double Dragon ripoff Renegade (which was in fact, a better play than the first Double Dragon). Man, I loved that game. (H/T Matson).
