Local art zine I Want You (edited by Dumb Eyes' Christian Petersen) is offering a sneak preview of its 7" featuring Shabazz Palaces and Stellar OM Source with an MP3 of the former's "Barksdale Corners." The track's a sparse, low-leaning bit of hiphop hauntology, with a Last Poets quote thrown in for good measure. Go here for the downloading.
Shabazz Palaces received The Stranger's Genius Award for music and will be performing at the Genius Award party Fri. Sept. 17 at the Moore Theater.
