Sound Check What the Vaselines' Frances McKee is Listening To

This week, when asked what music she is listening to, The Vaselines' Frances McKee says, "Jeffrey Lewis, Cornershop, Bridget Storm, Haight Ashbury, and the Treenails."

The Treenails. There is no information about them anywhere. So I followed up with her for clarification:

Who are the Treenails?

Frances: Ah, this is music from a friend of mine named Andrew Paine. He gave me a copy of it and I love it, but I'm not sure to what extent it's available. It's experimental music. I don't have the hard copy with me so I can't remember the label it comes through but it's great stuff.

I hate to see people confused so let me clarify things.

Treenails is an album by Andrew Paine of Glasgow Scotland collaborating with his friend Alistair Crosbie. Glasgows Andrew Paine is a frequent collaborator with Richard Youngs and just an all around frequent collaborator.

The above Drawing and song "ElectreKake" is by me: Andrew Paine of Ithaca, New York.

We are two different people. I know this as we collaborated on an album called "Each to Each Exclaims." last year.
