Tonight's Tim and Eric performance at Showbox SoDo will include a live set by "Pusswhip Banggang," a weirdo band comprised of the comedy duo + backup musicians that appeared in one of the funnier fake Tim and Eric Awesome Show, Great Job! infomercials.
But rather than performing the "hits" name-dropped in that bit, the band will instead be playing songs from Awesome Show's legacy of wacked-out music. Footage from last year's "Awesomecon" included on the Awesome Show Season Four DVD showed Pusswhip Banggang in all their glory, tearing through an extended, jammed-out version of their prog epic "Brownie Mountain" (Frank Black sang the vocals on the original version Adult Swim aired for the Season Four finale). If you're wise to Tim and Eric's backstory, then you'd know that both had separate bands before they hooked up, and Tim's had a number of amazing musical projects, including one that was pure and faithfully-executed soft rock.
Eric Wareheim recently unveiled the Pusswhip Banggang setlist via his twitter page, and after the jump you'll find clips of the songs included therein.
