Song / Conflict of Interest / Upcoming You Think You Know Alaskas?

My old pal Dillon Rego/Alaskas sent me over an early taste of his new 1-hour, 18-minute LP D.I.V.A. ("Dillon Issues Vocal Assault"), and it marks a pretty significant left-turn in his musical style. Gone are the coarse yelps, throaty moans, and neo-tribal drum poundings. His new material is simultaneously grainy, ghostly, gooey, and near-shapeless (ambient to the max, yo). The 9-minute “Landlord of the Rings” sounds almost like an Oneohtrix Point Never cut at first, before the verbed-out choral harmonies kick in around halfway through. He agreed to let me share the song, even though it’s still in demo form. Enjoy:

Also worth noting: another (potentially placeholder) track title is “Kanye West’s Dick b/w Brett Favre’s Dick.” That is all.
