Mayer Hawthorne Eats Some Crab in Seattle

Posted by on Mon, Dec 13, 2010 at 12:04 PM

Do you like throwback-soul crooner Mayer Hawthorne? Do you like crab? Then you'll love this video of Mayer Hawthorne devouring said sea creature at Seattle restaurant The Crab Pot. I like Hawthorne just fine, but this clip is akin to a gustatory snuff film to a vegan like me. Do people really eat the entire contents of a bucket like that? In one sitting? *smh*

People do indeed do that. Shellfish is mostly shell, so it's not really that much food. How much you can eat at the Crab Pot, however, is limited by your tolerance for nasty old stinky stuff. Seriously, that is just about the worst seafood restaurant in the city. Ah, I see this is brought to us by Mazda, who are well-known for their connoisseurship in both music and food.

Best deal for dungeness is at the Snoqual-Casino. Friday night. I ate 6 or 7 whole crabs. Oink.
