Song P Smoov Remixes Brent Amaker & the Rodeo's "Johnny's Theme"

Seattle country-rockers Brent Amaker & the Rodeo's "Johnny's Theme" gets the throbbing electro-funk treatment from Mad Rad/Fresh Espresso producer P Smoov. There's an element of "so wrong it's right" about this crazy collision of wildly different styles. I think that it's a daring concept, but ultimately it seems better in theory than in reality. I wonder how the cowboy-hatted and sideways-tilted baseball-cap demos are going to feel about this.

UPDATE: Brent Amaker & the Rodeo release the Captain of the Ship 7" May 24 on Spark & Shine Records.
