Teens Invade Cle Elum Coinstar For Snacks

The Cle Elum Safeway was abuzz with young music enthusiasts on their way to Sasquatch on Friday evening. Pictured here are two teens trading in coins for cash to buy elephant ears at the music festival. "This change is going to buy us so many snacks, we already have tickets," one of the girls said. I asked where the mason jars of change came from and was told that the source was a grandmother. "We found these jars in the pantry, we asked if we could have them and she was happy to oblige," one of the youths declared. No comments were made about the value of the zinc-lidded blue mason jars that contained the change, approximately worth $40 each, according to eBay. I'm not even sure what I'm typing at this point, I'm falling asleep in my car surrounded by Canadians in tents who earlier inquired about buying "mushrooms and or weed." The Sasquatch Music Festival RULES!
